Welcome to our Mathematics page. Here you will find lots of information related to math’s, great if you love maths. In school Mrs Betteley is our Mathematics Lead and Miss Barton is our Mathematics Champion, they are both working very hard this term to gain a Mathematics Quality Mark for our school.

Maths is definitely a strength in our school, lots of our children really enjoy their maths lessons and you can see why just by taking a look at some of the photographs below.

Our Maths Buddies have been working hard this term to help children in Y2 with their 5 minute feedback in maths. They have also taken children from other year groups and helped them to spend their Wellies in the school shop. Got a maths resource you would like for your year group? Just give your suggestion to our Maths Buddies and they will pass on your ideas to our Maths Champion, Miss Barton.

26th February – Members of our Year 4 and 5 visited Alsop High School in Walton and took part in the Future Scholars Maths Challenge. They had lots of fun and really enjoyed working in a team. (Photographs above)

5th February – Thankyou to everyone who took part in NSPCC Number Day dressing up including digits. We had some amazing outfits worn by both children and staff. To top off a day of mathematics fun we also raised £250 for NSPCC.

1st April – Congratulations to the parent of Zara Madeley (Y4), this terms Maths Parent Challenge winner! Enjoy spending your £5 shopping voucher

16-20th May –  This week we has Stay, Play and Learn sessions across the school. Parents had the opportunity to visit their child’s class and partake in lots of fun math’s activities. Have a look at some of our photographs below:

18th May – Thank you to Mathletics for introducing Year 4 to the program. The children thoroughly enjoyed logging on, creating their profile and answering questions against the clock. They also got to compete against their friends and children from across the world. Look out for mathletics club starting soon.

27th May – Congratulations to the parents of Leyton Potter (Year 1), this half-terms Maths Parent Challenge winner! Enjoy spending your voucher.

9th June – A fantastic time was had by all at our Happy Puzzle Company Family Event. Many thanks to Caroline who ran the event and to all of the families who turned up and joined in with all the fun learning.
