Year 2 had some special visitors today from Liverpool Hope University. The students came to teach the children all about algorhithms using unplugged ICT which is where the pupils don’t use a computer and make themselves a human computer that can follow instructions. They had to give each other instructions on how to ice cakes, give instructions on how to get through a maze collecting all the letters to make the word algorithm. Finally they had to create their own crazy character and then give instructions on how to draw their crazy character.
The pupils loved the lesson and really enjoyed working with the university students.
