During the current school closure we have updated our safeguarding procedure as all children are now expected to access online learning where possible. School has a duty of care to both parents and children, contact should be made regularly via seesaw or google classroom.

Where children do not access seesaw or google classroom, initially telephone contact will be made with the family.

If contact cannot be made, a member of school staff will complete a home visit; this can provide opportunity to speak to the child/children and understand their needs and wishes, whilst maintaining social distancing.

If the staff member is unable to make contact, a letter requesting the parent contacts school within 24 hours will be posted by hand, if contact is not made within 24 hours it may be necessary to request a police welfare check.
