Year 6 family assembly

As we know October is Black History Month. Our marvellous year 6 chose to do their family assembly on a black Liverpudlian hero, James Clarke. James was born in 1886 and was a superb athlete. But he is most famous for saving so many children and dock workers lives from the Liverpool and Leeds canals. We were very lucky to have James’ Grandson join us for the assembly and spoke at the end of how proud and emotional he was listening to the stories from year 6 about his Grandfather. We also had a couple of people from EMTAS join us, Donna has been working with all our children on diversity and Levi performed some brilliant poems for our children during the assembly around diversity and rainbow smiles.
MP Steven Twigg also visited today and joined our assembly and spoke of how well our children performed during the assembly.

WELL DONE YEAR 6!! You’ve done yourselves and Wellesbourne proud!

What have you done today to make you feel proud?
